England are just poor on taking penalties. I had doubts on Lampard when he was the first one to step forward. I wasn't surprised when his take was saved, but I was disappointed. Same goes to Gerrard's missed and Carragher's. But I am proud of them, you know, LFC players. I thought Crouchy did fairly well when he came on.
Rooney, I was kind of angry with you. Though I didn't think you should get a red card. England lost, partly because of you. But I won't blame you. I blame Ronaldo. They played 10 men for nearly an hour and they were exhausted. They played so hard and well in this match. They were all dejected after the match. Sigh...
David Beckham has quit as England captain. There were tears in his eyes when he announced it. I am sad, although I am not a fan of his. When I first became an English fan, he was already the captain. I will feel weird with him not being the captain anymore.
I no longer love the World Cup, no more friends in it. I shall switch to Wimbledon, although my tennis friend is out of it. At least I still know some of them.
